Waste acid from acid pickling unit being collected into waste acid tank shall be sent into preconcentrator by waste acid pump through waste acid filter (volume is automatically adjusted by regulative valve). Waste acid shall be sent to the top of preconcentrator for spraying through preconcentrator circulating pump. They will carry out direct heat exchange with burner gas (400℃) from calcinator, thus partial water will be evaporated and the waste acid solution has been concentrated. Condensed waste acid will be sent to the top of calcinatory by its feeding pump through condensed acid filter, and then enters into calcinatory for spraying by spray lance and nozzle. In calcinatory there are 2 spray guns each with 5 nozzles installed. The spaying gun can be automatically inserted into the calcinatory.
Calcinatory housing is made from steel lined with refractory and acid resistant bricks, two burners are in tangent layout for heating, which dries precondensed acid solution drops from the burners. In the hot area of calcinatory ( from 500℃ to 800℃) , FeCL2 and FeCL3 decompose as the following chemical reaction equations show:
